At the risk of opening a whole world of pain, what problems are people having with Shove and Live 9.1.6?

I use it almost daily and haven't come across any problems apart from the obvious limitations with it being a Lemur project and not a real Push.

Have you performed the simple modifications detailed in this forum thread (around page 12 I think)? I'm a paramedic, not a programmer and it took a little while to work out what and how to do them but it was an hour well spent. I went on to make other simple modifications to suit my needs that I probably would not have attempted until I worked out how to do the mods.

I sent a copy of my working version to a couple of people here. Disappointingly, I have heard nothing back from them - success, failure or even thanks so I don't know if I'm just not using the same Push functions or the mods really work.

So let me know exactly what is not working properly and I will test the function on my version and hopefully everyone can enjoy Wul's excellent creation.
Hi,

Would it be possible in any way to get more than one or a larger emulated Push screen and 8 encoders? Like having 4 in a single Lemur template getting 32 parameters at the same time? I dont care for the rest (pads, side buttons) since I have a push but would be nice to get the screen functionality for a more general controller.

Thanks!
This is soo nice. I got my Doepfer Pocket Control (endless encoders) hooked up and edited the template and now it work with hardware encoders and the added slider for sensityity works with it too.

Now, i wonder if a launchpad can be integrated with the pads when i add some lines to each pad.
User mode doesn't work but I've been studying and modifying Wul's creation for some time now (just finished an 8x4 matrix display for better formatting and using it in other projects today) and I'm going to attempt to get it working so I can use some of the NativeKontrol scripts with it. I'm certainly learning a lot about Lemur by dissecting Shove!
Subject: Re: Push for lemur stuck in 1/32
seems to mostly work for me - with one bug...
The step sequence gets stuck in 1/32 - anyone experienced/fixed this? I think the same as describesd in some of the comments... couldnt see a fix though

I followed this setup, but didn't replace the push files in resources - that part actually broke it for me (as others have said)

oh I'm on windows 7, live 9.1 btw...

oh, and also, amazing job wul! You gots smarts.
I've spent hours today trying to get shove to work on my ipad/mac setup. I followed the guide at:

http://blog.duncanmoran.net/archives/3052

and got it working, but then had the midi-feedback problem that meant that my inputs were lagged and ableton live kept crashing. I read this thread and saw the explanation:
expand each scene button highlight the label instruction , then deselect midi0 in the target field for each of the scene buttons . That will do it.
but as I'd only purchased lemur to use shove (and LC2) this didn't mean anything to me. I thought I'd share some plain english notes on how to do this to save other people going through the same head-scratching that I did:

In the Lemur editor on the mac:
use the horizontal scrollbar to show the vertical strip of 8 buttons labelled [<1/32t] to [<1/4]

click on the top [<1/32t] button - that will highlight pad08 in the bottom right hand pane (titled "project").
click on the right facing arrow to the left of "pad08"
that will show these parameters (you may need to scroll down to see them):

x
flasher
label
feedback
flash

click on label

in the top left pane (titled "mapping") it says Target Midi 0 - click on the drop down arrow to the right of "Midi 0" and change to "none"

then click on the next button [1/32] and repeat the above for that and then each of the remaining buttons down to [<1/4]

send the template to the ipad and save it

Massive thanks to wul for making this template - it has really enhanced Live for me.
