Does anyone know if it's possible to program a midi keyboard with velocity? I know Garageband managed it, I think with the accelerometer but I'm not sure.

good call (also curious about it). Another interesting multi-touch application is the Buchla-like sensor key emulation in Moog's Animoog app. The latter should work with RingAreas, Balls, and Multisliders, but I'm not yet into keyboards.
