Mu Step Sequencer

I cannot get the step sequencer to open up on the Device page in the Lemur app. The instructions are not clear, they say..."- YOU MUST FIRST TOUCH THE KNOB OR THE SEQUENCES, THEN THE DEVICE CONTROLLER WILL WORK"

I see the little oval that says step sequencer in the list of devices on Lemur but when I click on it, nothing happens.

With regard to my first paragraph, which knob or which sequences am I suppose to touch?

I'm interested in using this if possible

There is one knob (above "direction") - let's rotate this knob. I'm playing with this seq on the hardware lemur, so don't know if it works properly on ipad

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, I do not see a knob above direction. Curious

You should look at the lemur "mu stepsequencer" template (running on your ipad), not max4live device!!!

Thats the problem. I can't get the step sequencer to open when I click the device in the device browser. I can't see the step sequencer's controls.

However, do you think I should open the template up without trying to run it in Mu?

Curious, is there a way to contact the person who made the template? Who is or are they?

Thanks for your help

Are you sure, you have properly installed the whole thing?

The StepSeq_SH.amxd is required to work with the StepSeq_SH.jzlib and StepSeq.maxpat. It's included in the StepSeq_SH.zip file.

Thanks to the guys who have built Mu.stepSeq.amxd and 4_stepSequencer.jzml.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INSTALL StepSeq_SH :

Step 1 :

- Copy the SH folder included in the StepSeq_SH.zip file in your Ableton Library's /Presets/Audio Effects/Max MIDI Effect folder.

On PC, it's probably somewhere like :

\Users\[your user account name]\Documents\Ableton\Library\Presets\MIDI Effects\Max MIDI Effect

Step 2 :

- Copy the StepSeq_SH folder in \Mu\Resources\DeviceControllers\MIDI Effects\Max MIDI Effect folder.

Step 3 :

- Load Ableton Live
- Drag the Mu.amxd file on the Master track
- In the Live Device Browser, in MIDI Effects, in Max MIDI Effect, in SH, select and drag the StepSeq_SH on any track
- Select the StepSeq_SH in the Mu's DeviceBrowser on the Lemur
- YOU MUST FIRST TOUCH THE KNOB OR THE SEQUENCES, THEN THE DEVICE CONTROLLER WILL WORK
- Enjoy

Cool. I got it working. I didn't copy the Step_sq SH folder correctly. I copied the whole folder it was embedded in.
