Years ago I managed to connect my iPads to the Lemur Daemon using USB as well as wifi.
The Lemur Editor picked up my iPads as USB and also Wifi too.
This was great as I had choice of connection suitability.
USB connection was the most stable and reliable connection I have ever used with Lemur.
However, since upgrading my equipment I'm not sure if this is still possible?
At the time I had a USB HUB that allowed my laptop ,(2012) MacBook Pro, to connect to Lemur via USB connection.
Since then my MacBook can only see my iPads on a wifi network. This is a shame as the wifi connection can be arbitrarily unstable.
I have a dedicated wifi router that is not connected to the internet which I connect all my Lemur devices to.
Many times I have experienced a drop in connection of one or multiple iPads in the middle of performing and have had to re-establish the connection from the Lemur settings page on each iPad.
When it happens the Lemur app on the offending iPad(s) looses sight of the Lemur Daemon, but can see the other Lemur devices on the network.
This never happened when the Lemur Daemon could connect via USB.
I'm wondering if it is worth spending more money on a full bandwidth USB C Hub to connect with or buying a small PoE network switch and network adapters for each of my iPads and connecting that way?
I'm at a little bit of a loss about this, its has been the case for years now.
Any info about how the Lemur Daemon works would be greatly appreciated
