Does anyone know of any step by step instructions for getting this to work? I can load the template up ok on my iPad, but ableton doesn't seem to respond (I'm pretty new to this so please go easy with me) :D

Welcome Trackwerker,

I think these videos may give you good visual instructions with regards to what you need.

If you're looking to use midi, just use midi-mapping on ableton once its loaded. When you make a new template make sure to open preferences - Lemur - automate MIDI so that when you drop a new object into the Lemur Editor it maps a new cc message to it.

@rtn-bp1 and all those interested, i am in the process of making some module add-ons that are for customized templates. anyone interested can email me at carbonmanifesto@gmail.com as i need a few beta testers before i post the finalized version. the one that needs testing right now is a clip-launcher for ableton. you can select the number of tracks to map, the number of scenes, and have multiple instances of it. It does auto-color and auto-naming auto-formatting. its mod'd from Mu for customized purposes. Much better than using Midi. It requires M4L.

sometimes people confuse MIDI ports with MIDI channels. Don't know if that is the case with your problem. If you use MIDI7 as target, you have to use MIDI port 7 in the Lemur app and daemon.
