iPad stage stands / tripods

Post by ruigato »

now that the iPad turns to a professional grade controller, it's time to look at some details:

anyone knows good ways of positioning and "freezing" the position of the iPad on stage?

what methods do you use?

i've tried velcro stripes on a protection case, and some blutak to "glue" it to the table, but some more professional solutions would be nice!

cheers

Haven't tried it myself, but this is what Stephan Bodzin & Marc Romboy were using on the Luna tour:

I tried the Luxa2 H5 (on a grand piano) with iPods touch, it's quite good.

There is also some interesting stuf at k&m, like this:

or this

ikmultimedia also propose some holders for mic stands.

Ugh. Die spammer! (in response to the post above mine)

I'm using the crane stand. It's probably a bit of overkill but it works great. I have it so the iPad is directly above my Dj mixer.
