Help me create this OSC template? (noob)

Hi all,
I am struggling to get off the ground with Lemur, although what little progress I have made so far, I am enjoying thoroughly
As a starter project I'd like to create an OSC controller template that has perhaps 8-16 knobs/faders, and some buttons, and maybe some other things that I'll figure out along the way. So, a personal workhorse controller template.
Please note that I use 64-bit Reaper on Windows 8.1.
1) The knobs/faders/whatever should be bi-directionally controlled. So far, if I create an OSC knob, I can program it in Reaper to control parameters on-screen. But I can't get Reaper to send those messages back to the iPad.
Maybe there is some sort of scripting or programming that needs to be done there? I've used the excellent Binder template for Reaper http://www.zvukofor.com/p/binder.html, and that is indeed bi-directional, when I select the corresponding Reaper pattern config file in Reaper's control surface setup. So I'm guessing there's something in that config file that instructs for bi-directional control. Or maybe it's something else. In any case, I don't know why OSC-controlled parameters are not immediately bi-directional.
2) The parameter labels should reflect the parameters they are controlling, and should be updated as the plug-in in focus changes. Reaper has a nice system for setting up plug-in control, and once I can get this all to play nice with Lemur, I will be one EXTREMELY happy camper.
So, to be clear: I'd like to control plugin A, and have all/most of its parameters labelled/controlled on my Lemur. Upon switching windows to plugin B, I'd like to have labels updated/parameters shifted to match current state of plugin B.
Is this even possible? Novation did it with Automap, so I don't see why it can't be done with Lemur...
Thank you so much!
