Lemur downgrade to 4.1.2

My project no longer functions correctly. It is the Lemur interface for the midibox seq step sequencer. The only thing that has changed is that Lemur was updated automatically by accident somehow. I need to get back to 4.1.2, but since I didn't purposely update Lemur, I do not have a backup. The only thing I could find was this post:
http://support.liine.net/customer/porta ... 4-of-lemur
I have contacted
support@liine.com but have not heard anything back. PLEASE HELP!

Crickets from support. Not even a confirmation of receipt. Not very happy with the support for a $50 app.

Hi
I can't see how it did anything by 'accident' . . . You must have updated either on the device or on your computer and then synced to it . . .
Which project exactly? If it ran of midi_clock, then it can now get that internally and just needs a new transport added to it . ..
The benefit of all this is that it will run independently rather then needing to be synced . . .
Probably better to just update the project, and get a better end result, rather then downgrade the app ...

Generally true unless your project depends on things that were working in 4.1.2 and are currently broken in 5.0.1.
Personally, I'd rather go back to 4.1.2 myself so I could continue development on a couple templates. I can downgrade the editor, but that is not exactly the same as testing on a real iPad. I keep waiting for the 5.0.2 update, but it's been promised for a while now with no new information. Meanwhile, my templates are behaving badly and I can't test on an old system to see if it is a real bug or something with 5.0.1 that causes it to act differently.

After updating to ios7, automatic downloading of apps was enabled. So that's how Lemur was updated. There doesn't seem to be a way to undo this. I don't know why you're arguing that it couldn't have been updated accidently. It's beside the point anyway. The actual point is that my previously working template (a step sequencer controller) is no longer fully functional in version 5, when it was working fine in version 4. Your stated method of getting help with this issue (email support, see here
http://support.liine.net/customer/porta ... 4-of-lemur ) did not work for me.
Is there a way to downgrade the app so I can at least confirm that this is a bug was introduced in version 5 or not? If not I cannot continue to do any development or use this app anymore. I understand that you would never be able to support individual templates but developing templates for this app is like building a house on a sand dune. Back to the bad old days of never updating your OS just to keep all your out of date music apps running. No thanks.

I assume downgrading is not that easy to do in the App world. Maybe you can post the template and we can try to fix it.

As far as I can tell -- if you had synced your iPad to a computer when the old version was installed, you can downgrade. If you re-synced with the new version or never synced it before, you can't downgrade. So, check your synced machines, if the old app is there, you can find the instructions on the net (basically - delete the new version off the iPad, manually sync, pull the old version across, **BUT** don't take my word for it - look it up).
If your template is broken, some of us have been able to (mostly) fix our old templates to run in 5.0.1. There are additional workarounds for some of the current issues (like content in text objects), so with some group support, you should be back up and running. The sugestion of posting the broken version is probably the fastest way to get you back up and running.

iPhone Backup Location for Windows 7, XP, and Vista
Windows XP stores all of your iPhone backup files in this location:
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Windows Vista and Windows 7 backs up the iPhone files to here:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Use this:
http://www.i-funbox.com/
. . . to perform the downgrade.
Macciza mate . . . ever heard the phrase "tits on a bull"? How about "ashtray on a motorbike"?

Well
It certainly did not enable automatic downloads for me - it may have been enabled previously?? Basically things aren't 'accidentally' done by computers . . .
But if you want to stop that then try the iPad settings - iTunes & App Store - You can select auto download for a Music, Apps, Books and Updates - Or not . . .
If you lost functionality in a project then either it is due to few deprecations in v5 or because of a bug or two that crept in, apparently the update is on its way . . .
Re - the Support Center response - That has nothing to do with me, I help out as Moderator here on the Forum but am not a Liine employee or anything . . .
As others have said depending on how you upgraded it you possibly still have the previous version on your system - check Trash as well . . .
I still believe the best approach is to wait for the next update and re-evaluate it then . .
Or post the crucial part of the project and maybe we can work out what is going wrong . . .

PS It appear 5.0.2 is available now so I would suggest upgrading to it and see how things go . . .

The |= operator is broken in version 5. Never heard anything back from email support. Very questionable whether I would ever rely on this app in a performance situation again. Maybe it's fine for in the studio where you can wait around for an updated version, but I feel pretty burned at this point.
