I allways notice that many people tick off expressions and variables in their template. Would it make any difference if Fader.x was ticked in case it has not target? Same goes for the variables ctl etc.? Does it save bytes?

from my point of view, it doesn't make a difference. Myself I try to maintain a discipline to untick every element that has no effect. Keeps the template 'cleaner' I think. I learned this from Antonio Blanca's templates, and from other rather complex templates.

Hi
Not sure if it affects size as such but it does affect processing . . .
Unticked objects basically don't get called, rather than called but doing nothing
Draw something on a Canvas then untick it - it won't draw . . .
And yes it is something i often forget as well . ..

PS Any comments on the AutoMap module - it is something a number of people have asked for at various times . . .

Is this object using/emulating the Novation AutoMap format? I don't quite understand the purpose of it atm.

No - there's no "automap" functionality involved here at all. These objects do "MIDI-learn" and would generally be suitable for use with hardware . . . or software that's 'hardwired" to fixed controller numbers I think.
Perhaps Macciza would consider renaming the project to reflect this and avoid this sort of confusion?

Yeah
Sorry about that - not sure sure why I called it that, I always meant to use the LeLearn thing . . .
Will see about fixing it all up in next revision . . .
I am looking into the AutoMap thing a little bit at the moment . . .
