the right reliable hardware connection choice dilemma

Hi there,

at first, is there a way to reliably use OSC using USB ?
I know well OSC is transportable (and often transported by using UDP/IP) and we can use it also over serial (USB is a serial case).

On the other side (MIDI), I looked at:
- iRig (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigmidi)
- iConnectMIDI 2 (http://www.iconnectivity.com/iConnectMIDI2plus)

What I'd like is:
- NO old MIDI DIN (only using it with my computer)
- transporting also OSC

any tips, advices, ideas ??

Thanks :)

Hi Julien,

It is not easy to get OSC over USB, but it is theoretically possible. I can officially recommend any of these solutions as we have not personally tested them, but I can pass along the info. Have a look at the following article:

Nick
