Midi Targets disappear when connected to X-Station

My old iOS setup was a crappy Alesis (pre-iOS) USB mixer, a USB/Midi cable, and a midi controller or two all connected to a powered USB hub, which was connected to my iPad 4 via the CCK. All worked flawlessly when using Lemur.
I've since simplified that with just my X-Station (connected to the powered hub to lessen any power draw from the iPad), but the principle is the same. I'm quite happy with this setup, no lag or other issues, other than that I just noticed that Lemur stops supporting any midi targets when the X-Station is plugged in; this does not happen using the generic USB/midi cable, but as soon as I plug in the Novation all targets disappear, and reappear as soon as I disconnect it.
Some googling suggests that people are using the X-Station with Lemur, and I've had no conflicts using it with any other apps besides Lemur. Any thoughts about what could be causing this?
