On osc Vs expression

hi
A question for clarify some stuff about the difference between OnOsc & expression.
From Max/msp I send OSC message like a 0/1 (trigger off/on) message via the format : /name
I can receive it on template with "expression" (green point) or via script like OnOSC. but I have note OnOSC is more precise/faster than expression.
If I used OnOsc to receive the message and then transmit it in other way on the template (used an outside expression) is there the same than to receive it from expression? the fact to send value(s) outside the script box slow motion ? or stay more faster than directly to green point "expression"
I used quick pulse in MAx from 1000ms to 20 ms, I send it (trigger 0/1) on Lemur and then I used it in different place on the template to control stuff... my way is to find the most efficient solution...
I don't know if I'm clear ! I hope °
best
