Crashes When Setting OSC Targets

Post by computersarecool »

Hello,
I am using Lemur 4.1 and there seems to be a very big bug. On my iPhone and iPad the software crashes every single time I try to manually set an OSC target. Regardless if I press the return key, or click on some other part of the settings screen, the app crashes. Furthermore I can not set the OSC target in the editor because when I try, nothing changes (all targets are still set at 0.0.0.0). I have tried everything (resetting) and this has been a problem that has existed for a year now. The only way I have been able to change anything is to manually set the OSC target in the iPad and then press the "minimize" button. Please, somebody, fix this?

Are you sure you are using 4.1? Upgraded through iTunes?
4.1 has only been out for a few months so it can't have been a problem for a year.
There were some issues with earlier versions but it currently works fine in 4.1.

Yes, I am sure I am using 4.1 I have been doing each available update. When I say that it has been a problem for a year, I mean that I have been using this app for a year and it has been a problem the entire time

Hmm
As I said there had been some issues like this in earlier version but 4.1 has been fine.
Not aware of there having been any problems with the Editor settings though.
The Settings page in either the Editor or App will show the version number somewhere to confirm.
When you say nothing changes in the OSC settings do you mean in the App or Editor.
Do you run a firewall anywhere in your setup? Or other OSC apps ? Perhaps the ports are blocked or in use?

I would suggest reinstalling the app and software, checking the above things and contacting support if none of those ideas help

The version is definitely 4.1
When I say nothing changes it means if I set the address of the OSC Target in the editor (while the Lemur is connected) and press "OK" Nothing changes on the Lemur or in the editor (i.e. The OSC Address is still set to 0.0.0.0)

I posted here trying to get in touch with support, because I couldn't find an email. Any idea on how to actually contact them. I am in the process of deleting and reinstalling but I am not thinking that will do anything seeing as how I just updated the software to the latest update about a week ago.
