midi issues with logic 9

Post by faddycooper »

hi folks,
so i use lemur on my ipad which is connected to my mac via alesis IO Dock through a USB midi port.
i want to control logic (9.1.1) with it but i have some issues.
so my setup has 8 faders (audio and midi instruments). i have set up 8 faders on lemur as well. so i can adjust volume so far
but when i touch the fader in lemur, the logic fader jumps to 127 first and then it starts to follow the motion on the controller.
and when i release the fader it wont stay there but it jumps back to zero.

any ideas on that?

btw i'm new here so bare with me if there are threads like this already

many thanks

faddy

Make sure the "z" expression fo your faders inside Lemur are not mapped to any midi message (select no target for z or untick the "z" expression in the project browser)! z sends messages whenever an object is "touched" and by your description I think thats where the culprit is.
