Considering a purchase. There's a specific thing I want to do, which I think Lemur scripting can accomplish, but not certain.

For an incoming MIDI controller (in this case pressure from a KM QuNexus) I want to add a decay time and smoothing. The QuNexus pressure param falls to 0 as soon as you lift your finger, which may be well before the note actually decays. I'd like to be able to make the release fall away at a controllable rate. it would really make it far more useful for me.

Also, it's hard to hold anything like a steady value with finger pressure. I'd like to be smooth out the response overall.

Does anyone have experience with this, or a script they can share with me. Thanks!

I don't have a solution at hand, but maybe, for the pressure level release, you can set it to a higher value than zero with the QuNexus editor? The smoothing may not be possible with it, here something in-between must do that. Either a Max device, or Lemur, must be used. Did you already ask this question in the KeithMcMillen forum?

With Lemur, I think this should be possible, using the time variable. Unfortunately this is an area I'm not familiar with yet, there are a couple of templates and modules from the community I'll have to study first.

Sorry for not being helpfull. And I'm still waiting for the QuNexus since months, it's not yet available in Europe. I hope in a few months I could say more.

Concerning purchasing Lemur ... when you have an iPad and QuNexus, it's the right app for you. Both Lemur and QuNexus can handle OSC next to MIDI, it will surely be a valuable addition to your setup.
