virtual midi connectivity

Why is Lemur having trouble communicating via virtual midi with so many apps? It is the only midi app that seems to constantly require the use of an intermediary app like FreEWI or MidiBridge just to connect properly. Examples - Cubasis, Loopy, iMini. Lemur has one job, and that is to connect with and control things via midi. Can this problem be fixed? If not, why?

To say the truth I have only used Lemur to control via midi another iPad app only once - just to toy around with a note-generative template of AB. What really hit me as unuseable was the fact that Lemur stops sending midi when its on the background (minimised or what its called in this iOS thing). I didnt bother that much after it.
So, in my humble opinion, first of all we need to request this feature: working when in background and then we move on to the rest of details!

Yeah, background operation would be my top priority as well. Without it its very difficult to record with accuracy or use audiobus effectively. I think for them virtual midi is an afterthought because even the most basic virtual midi controllers have background operation. I dont know why they won't implement it after all this time. Very frustrating since i bought it because they began to advertise it as VM compatible.
