Few technical question regarding Win use

Hi guys. Sorry for living under the rock, i just discovered this (lemur) fantastic piece of software. I feel dumb a bit, i saw it before but never actually considered to explore youtube demos. Now i am impressed (VERY) and since i use Live 9 i think i'll simply order it to play with new Livecontrol 2 which seems very impressive. I think i like it even in front of Push.

Anyway i have some technical questions.

1. Firstly which ipad to order? Will ipad 2 (one or more of them) be enough? I suppose i need one with wifi.
2. Do i need some kinf of special midi adapter/interface which will connect to my computer? I already have few hardware devices which are connected via my midi patcher but i am assuming that i need another new one which will act as a separate port for separate dedicated midi in/out? Yes or no?
3. i see wifi option which seems handy. If i have everything configured correctly will i have lag/latency when playing virtual lemur keyboard or controlling my software (live or cubase) as opposed to that midi adapter sepcially made for ipad? In other way is wifi connection reliable? I am asking since i really adore wifi connection.
4. Can you recommend me some good step sequencers, i like one which is for Live and comes with Livecontrol 2 but are there any advanced or similar ones for Cubase in user library? Or 3rd party?
5. i see a lot of surface controllers. Wow. Superb!! Miniak (http://liine.net/en/community/user-library/view/402/) , eventide etc..MY question is can i run and control lemur to live/cubase and at the same time i can load for example Miniak controller to control my outboard synth? Or i can control only one app at a time? I mean i can run lemur but if i want to control miniak i need to close lemur and load miniak shell? No?

That last question isn't really important i am just curious, but i'll be more then a happy person to finally order this and to play it with my live/cubase. It really seems superb. But before i order anything i'll wait for win user experiences.

Thanks to all in advance!!

1.Im using an iPad 2 with Windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit (two systems). I dont have any problems reguarding the processing power of the iPad. In other words, my opinion is iPad 2 is fine. BTW, is there any version of iPad without wi-fi? I dont think so!

2. Not necessarily - if you are going to use Lemur with wi-fi connection, the provided Daemon utility app that runs in your Windows system creates all the neccesary wireless connection between Lemur-iPad and youur system. What you DO need though, in Windows systems, is a sdeperate "virtual midi ports" software. LoopMidi is free and prefered amongst Windows users. In a nutshell the connection goes like this:

iPad Lemur -> wi-fi -> Daemon -> virtual midi ports -> controlled application

3. According to Liine itself, a "wired" connection (requires camera connection kit and midi-to-usb adapter) is the solution with the LEAST latency. Im using Lemur wirelessly and I can say the latency is not a big hustle when using it to control parameters and DAW controls or play synths with long sustained sounds, in other words sounds that do not require very acurate timing. Truth is though for very time-critical triggering like for example drums perhaps the latency is indeed disturbing.

4. You might want to check out Mat's Sequencomat - its a Lemur template with two versions - a cut down free one and an "extended-features" commercial one

5. Nothing stops you from taking one or two templates and "join" them into a new one. This means that you dont have to switch off - close anything. Lemur is capable of having "pages" of controls (called interfaces) which you easily navigate thorugh a top-row buttons. You can have you favourite synth control template on "page 1", then switch to "page 2" where some mxier controls are placed, then go to "page 3" for some effects controls - I think you get the idea.
