Hi everyone,
I have just purchased the Lemur App and have it on an Ipad mini. I have tried to run this on my Macpro laptop with Mountain Lion 10.8. I cant get a WiFi connection between the two.
I tried on my Imac Snow leopard 10.6. I managed to get a WiFi connection (rechecked that I was following all the instructions correctly) I get the app going in Live 8 & Live 9 but after I get the app running and have say 2 midi control running Ableton Live 8 & 9 crashes.
Has anyone experienced any issues like this that can offer me advise.
I have contacted support at LIINE and am very disappointed to report that after 4 days I have had no reply...not even to acknowledge that I have submitted a support request.
Are there any issues with Mountain Lion 10.8, Ableton Live 8 or Ableton Live 9. I havent seen any major issues listed in these forums.
I appreciate any help.... I love the Lemur from what I have seen so far...I just need to get it running properly....
Mac - Live 8 & 9 crashing
Re: Mac - Live 8 & 9 crashing
Im really not entitled to answer to this as I do not use a Mac but I can throw a hint: the ONLY time I managed to get Live crashing with Lemur was when I had unwillingly created a "midi-feedback-loop" due to incorrect midi port assignments.
How to check that this is the case: load everything up and use ANY object in Lemur - fader, knob, button. Check the midi activity in Live's top right corner - if it lights up like a christmas tree and doesnt stop, prepare for major crash - something is falsely cofigured in midi ports - midi preferences of Ableton Live

Hi Softcore,
Thanks for your help on this one. I've noticed that you are on the forum a lot helping others like me...cheers mate (Softcore)...Its people like you that make the world a better place.
I found the issue with the Ipad and Imac not talking ... but its one or another factor that caused this ; for anyone else who experiences this issue. Thanks heaps to Liine who have come back to me as well as Softcore with comprehensive instructions on how to proceed...
My issue was either the bluetooth Apple mouse I was using and I didn't even think of it as a bluetooth device..or the IP address.-. I have 4 devices using the same network... so when I set up a static IP address for the Lemur everything went well..I did notice that it can take a few minutes for the actual wifi connection to take place so you need to be patient..no symbol appears on the Ipad by the way..
All good.. thanks everyone
