Lemur faders and CC data.... with Logic....

Post by stevendieveney »

Wondering if anyone can help me out here. I'm moving over to Lemur from TouchOSC. Lemur is WAY more powerful but has a learning curve to it. My problem is this:

I'm building a template to control several software instruments, LASS, Berlin Woodwinds, etc. I've got a number of faders to control Mod Wheel, expression, etc. In TouchOSC the faders worked fine. I could ride them all I wanted and when I took my finger off it held the current value in Logic. In Lemur as soon as I take my finger off the fader the value in Logic snaps to zero - but the fader in my iPad Lemur interface remains where it was when I removed my finger... Huh? Any ideas?

Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

This shouldnt be happening.....have you mapped the x expression or the z expression?

EDIT: are you using any scripted outputs for the faders or just simple midi mapping?

EDIT no2: make sure the "z" expression of the faders is not mapped to anything - as this relates to the fader being touched, if its mapped, everytime you "leave" the fader it will send a 0 message.

Softcore,

Thank you!!!! Yes, the z was mapped!? Does it do that by default? Thank you so much as this was a big headache!!!!

One other thing I'm currently trying to do - and if you have a quick solution it would be great!!! - is change the text in a text element when a pad is pushed. I want to use this for a visual cue as to which articulation is currently selected in a Kontakt multi. Have you done something similar?

Much appreciated!!!!
