Lemur losing connection with PC

Post by beatpete »

I'm having an issue with Lemur losing connection with my PC. I've tried both Loopbe30 and recently Loopmidi and with both, the first (MIDI 0) "to" connection drops fairly regularly. Sometimes other connections drop as well, but mostly that one. I'm using a fairly complex setup with 16 internal PC midi loop ports an 8 Lemur ports. This is easily remedied by quitting Lemur on the Ipad (actual quit) and restarting. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Me to, same problem, same kind of setup with cubase, bome and all ports in use. I have had one lemur file that dit not do this, but after further editing and adding things the problems came back. I will investigate if this file is still ok and working. I must say things are better with an ad hoc network (with a dongle) but not perfect. It seems to happen when I did not use the ap for a few minutes, and also sometimes it feels like maybe there is some kind of " data overflow" but I'm not shure...

And until now no idea what causes it and how to solve it...

Thanks for the reply! I recently changed my Bome setup and all I'm using it for is 2 midi to keyswitch commands, I managed to put everything else in my Lemur template. I also simplified my midi setup so that I only use 8 Lemur midi ports now. 6 (3 X 1 in, 1 out) for controlling Cubase (1 generic remote on 2 ports and 1 mackie control on another 2 ports) and RME Totalmix )on another 2 ports). Also, I use another 2 ports (Lemur) for my Iphone to control Cubase from my keyboard ( I have basic ccs and pitchbend/modulation programmed). i use 10 "loopbe30" virtual midi ports, 8 for Lemur and 2 for internal routing in Cubase. So far this new setup works well but I haven't used it long enough to be sure. Here's a link to a Youtube video I made recently of my Lemur setup.

If ur on windows try using wireshark and see what happens when u lose connection. I noticed recently that windows for some reason sends an "rst ack" packet to the lemur app causing it to quit. If that happens I recommend to send a report to lemur support with the problem. Would be grateful to find out myself what's happening

Cheers :P
