Problems with Lemur and CoreMidi

I am considering moving my whole live performance setup from iPad with a computer to just iPad. But my experience using Lemur with an iPad 2 and iOS using internal Core MIDI connections has been terrible.
It usually cannot find my other applications, such as Animoog and Loopy HD as MIDI out (or in) targets. It also cannot find my Akai EIE connected to the Camera Connection Kit. It sometimes can find these so I assume it suppose to work. I have tried many variations such as starting Lemur before other apps and starting other apps before Lemur. I have also tried connecting the EIE before and after starting the iPad.
Other apps seem to always be able to find each other and find my Akai EIE so it would seem to be a Lemur problem.

Hi Ted,
Inter-app MIDI functions with most apps. Background MIDI is not fully supported at the moment. We are currently working on this, I can not promise exactly when it will be ready but this is definitely on our radar.
Kind regards,
Nicolas

This is definitely good news!

What about the problem finding the EIE when connected to camera connection kit. This doesn't seem to be a background midi issue as it happens when just using Lemur and no other apps involved(though other apps always see the EIE).
In Lemur:
2 examples of other apps that can see the EIE taken directly after. Just to confirm that connection to the EIE is working with CoreMidi(not worrying about Lemur working with these apps for the moment).

In loopy hd:

Hi Ted,
It's odd that none of the ports are appearing in your list, thanks for the screenshot. It works fine on all the devices I've tested, but your case is very helpful. We're working on this.
Can you tell me which model IPad you're using and which version of iOS?
Have you tried any other MIDI adapters besides the EIE?
Have you tried a hard reset on the iPad (push and hold the power button until you see the red slider)?
Best regards,
Nick

Hey Nick, Ted,
Last night I tried Lemur with my friends EIE and can report that I had the same problem. The EIE midi ports do not show in the midi config screen on Lemur.
one of the things I wanted to do last night was show my friend Lemur as a solution for controlling hardware, something I haven't previously had any problems with. Obviously it wasn't a very successful demonstration
Any progress on a fix for this?
All the best
Steve

Nick,
Sorry I never got back to this issue.

iPad 2. IOS 6.
Any progress on background MIDI?
Just to update that I am still having the problem. Again all other apps seem to work fine, recognize each other, recognize EIE.
I have latest version of Lemur.
