Just thought to cehck out all the factory objects with a monitor set to retrieve attributelist........Besides I had never actually paid attention to the manual mentioning the "zoom" attribute for Fader and MultiBall object......I also noticed "pressure" attribute for the MultiBall object......
uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......what is this? its not mentioned even in the manual...
Also I assume polyphony means that when polyphony=0, only one ball at a time otuputs its x,y,z values...correct?
Also this whole thing got me thinking.....
a) Why arent all attributes of objects available in the editor either in properties or in behavior?
b) Those that arent, how do we as users, know the default value each object is loaded with? I mean obviously for example, polyphony must be on for the MultiBall object when added in a template, but how do we really know?
pressure attribute of MultiBall object
Re: pressure attribute of MultiBall object
About polyphony, forget it, moment of stupidity.....still though havent discovered what pressure is all about...
Re: pressure attribute of MultiBall object
Hi
I believe they are 'remnants' 'ghosts in the machine' - code is not there to implement them but the name definition still shows via getattributelist() . . .
Pressure is there from experiments into implementing 'pressure' via 'blob area' . . . Hopefully coming back at some point . .
Can't quite recall 'polyphony' off the top of my head, would have to check. .
Cheers

Re: pressure attribute of MultiBall object
Thanks for the reply - I too hope it comes back....calculating "pressure" out of the diameter of cursor surface (how much surface is covered by your finger) as I assume you mean by 'blob area' would be a very nice addition.
There's a simple circle-pads iPad app that already does this - it uses the blob area to calculate velocity - cant recall the name of it, right now......

Re: pressure attribute of MultiBall object
Yeah
I am pretty sure it was looked into using a 'unauthorised' function - though used by others - I think it was decided it would be best to avoid the app being pulled on the store . . .
I think that it will resurface eventually as I believe there are other 'acceptable' options now available - but have no real idea of when or if it is being worked on currently . . .
Cheers
