Adhoc network problem? Or traktor issue?

Hello out there!

I have just spent the last couple of hours (like so many others) trying to get Lumer to work on an ad hoc network. I'm connecting to a PC laptop and my new ipad 4 running ios 6.1.2.

I have managed to get both connected on an adhoc network, tested the connection using the Liine editor by hitting the 'play' button and selecting the ipad (with its static ip I had assigned) then clicking the 'synchro' button. All seems to be working fine! I was quite excited as I thought I had cracked it!

I then loaded up traktor 2.6.1 imported the Mashy TSI off Dj Tech Tools. But when I went into the controller manager to adjust the settings of the mapping. The 'inport' and 'outport' drop down don't show 'Daemon Input 0' or 'Daemon output 0', there is nothing in the list... Nothing at all :-(

I went and made sure the Daemon was running on my laptop then double checked the connection using the Editor to make sure nothing had dropped out. But it all looked fine..

The editor daemon everything is up to date as I only got them today off Liine. I have set static ip's and matching subnets etc.

Am I missing anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Marty

Have you got any virtual midi cable driver installed? In windows Daemon doesnt directly show up as available in software's midi i/o. You need a virtual midi cable like loopBE or that other free one cant recall the name....then you set that as your input-output in Traktor and in Daemon you set that again. In essense it "sits" between Daemon and your software.

Ah yeah thats the one - I use LoopBE30 but its not free.

at OP: also keep in mind you need to enable 2 ports. One will surve as midi in and one as midi out - dont use the same one or you are going to have a bad time lol.
