the in-app editor is a good way to make quick changes to a template, on the fly so to speak. It does not - depending on the complexity of what you want to do - make the editor obsolete. You can use the in-app editor to create a simple test template to try out things without booting a computer. It's a very convenient thing, I do like it a lot, I think it's very clever from Liine to give us this option. But if you're working on a bigger project, it is much better to have Lemur connected and synced to the editor. You can work much easier and faster.

After just completing my first template I'd agree with that 100% I actually did most of the work in App, but the busier the template became the more fiddly it was to edit. And some MIDI mapping options ('Scale' for one) seem to be missing from the in App editor altogether! As you say it's a great way to quickly build templates and then use them. Its been fantastic to have the in App editing as I was able to build something and use before I had to start worrying about ad hoc networks and stuff! But in the end I couldn't have completed my template without the Lemur Editor on the computer.
