I have a gig this Friday (21 December) and frankly I will not update even if its out before this date - my project works fine as it is and I wont risk troubleshooting and malfunctions (not that this is standard with updates, buy ya know, if it aint broke dont fix it thing). This will be my first gig with Lemur so I will be reporting back to tell ya how it all went. After that date, I will of course update to 4.

Softcore : for sure, upgrading right before your first gig with lemur would sure be a kamikaze choice...

Haha, playing it save never hurts. I'm super geeked about this new update. Just downloaded it and at first glance, it looks great!

...BUT it wouldnt hurt to download and install the new editor to check out the skins, right? And, hey I really had a pleasant surprise and a question.....does the fact that now we have a "skins" folder with skin folders inside and images in each folder mean that we can combine elements to create our own skins or even create new? Coooooooooool!!!!!

Initial play with L4 here . . . crashed twice within minutes. Changing the skin did it the once, and adding a new page to a template using in-app editing did it the second.

So at least on my setup (iPad 2, iOS 6.01) it's buggy as hell.

Not to worry though - I'm sure the guys will have it all sorted out within ooohh . . . months and months, if not sooner! :D

Don't upgrade before the gig. I did that already twice this year. In no sense was it a good idea on either occasion.

The skinning looks fairly rudimentary - "bitmaps and xml, have fun". That's the tale so far, as I'm experiencing it.
