Wired control of Lemur Editor? IOS 6 issues.

Is there a way of using the Lemur Editor via usb?

The IOS 6 update for my iPad 2 appears to have finally killed my wifi connecting altogether for now, and good riddance to it. After a mountain of initial, beginner's problems with it and a long run of good luck, to the cancellation of a live set at soundcheck, and the subsequent purchase of an Alesis i/o Dock, the Lemur Editor is the last thing I still seem to need wifi for, and IOS 6 has definitively put a stop to that. 2 computers tested (2010 iMac, 2007 Macbook Pro), both with establish ad hoc networks that will show up in the iPad with the little checkmark & everything, but the wifi icon doesn't appear next to the "iPad" label and the Lemur Daemon (ver 3.2.1) doesn't pick up any signal. Bloody IOS... everything on the Lemur end worked beautifully before that update.

So yeah, I could go on and on... is wired control of the editor possible?

Thanks scrubber, but nothing yet.. I tried the reset network options in the ipad & itouch but I still get the same 'checkmark' indication from the network list that it's connected to the iMac's ad-hoc network, but it hasn't actually. Although, I'm going to look into a similar reset option for my airport on the computers, if there is one. I never knew about those reset options in the ios menu. Thanks again!

I dunno if its applicable on Macs (PC here) but have you tried setting up static IPs? I did have the same problems with my Windows laptop (it showed as connected, but it really wasnt) up untill I set up static IPs both on my laptop AND iPad for the ad-hoc network.

Just a suggestion!

I'll give that a try... To be honest, I was never sure what sort of network I had set up, pretty sure it was just ad-hoc and no static IP. Worked every time though but It took a lot of fiddling in the beginning. Ill try the static IP though.

Boggles my mind that the editor can't be controlled through a dock, I've been over and over it and can't find anywhere to select a different midi source other than wifi, what a hassle. It went from supercharging my creativity when it works, to totally killing it when it doesn't.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try. Pardon all my negativity, haha!
