MadScience: Griid Connector & Lemur

It ought to be possible for Lemur to establish a connection to Live 8 through the GC no?
The thought occurred to me as I lamented my lack of funds to purchase M4L . . . "Wait a minute - why should I even have to?" Don't get me wrong, I'd love to run out and buy it right now - but it strikes me as quite a heavyweight requirement to get the two-way dynamic communication that Mu, Griid, Kapture Pad enjoy.
So that's my big(gish) idea for the day - can we approriate the GC for this task - or can someone hack the thing to make it so?
[edit: further thoughts]
So supposing this were possible, the next logical step would be to build a module or three to take advantage of the functionality so they could be dropped into the sorts of heavily customised setups people build around their own Live Sets . . . ie: RheyneLooper / RheyneJammer. These musings are born out my own frustration in trying to reconcile general usefulness with the current need to set things in stone when building control setups that address specific Sets (in Live).
Basically a cry for help!
