Solution - Lemur Editor Windows 8

Thought I would share my solution.

It seems when running the Lemur editor under Windows 8 Graphically you will se a bar appear on the top of the screen however nothing else happens.
This is the main window. You can grab it and move left and right.
(however I am having problems on a dual display moving the application to the second screen fully, only the main screen registers the drag and drop, or interface interactions properly)

If you look close at the bar at the far right you will see three diagonal resize dots, you can get the resize option.
If you click and drag inward rather than outward like you would normally do to resize a window....

The editor will appear and finally open to be visible (though with some graphical issues). At this point the window likes to stick at the top of the screen, however I have had good results just maximizing the screen.
*The same thing applies to the daemon.

Just resizing the windows will allow you to get a clean graphical refresh. I have been able to do minimal drag and drop and get interaction with the ipad however it is not fully tested yet to see if everything is still functioning well. I will report if anything different.

Well it seems I've finally hit a point where Daemon or editor is not working. I have noticed using multiple displays caused issue where if the lemur screen would go on the secondary display you could not interact with it. Now I am in a state where I cannot get the bar to display again, to do my fix....Ran for quite awhile using this solution and now cannot get the same results...quite possibly an update to win8 causing issue now? or something related to the display support? If I find a work around I will update.

Same exact issues your having. Also, windows 8 doesn't support adhoc (AirPlay)

Try this . . . I don't have Win 8 to test this on, but this little beauty is magic for window management.

http://winsplit-revolution.com/

Tests on Win 7 suggest this will enable you to maximise the editor with a single click (okay . . . maybe three - but they're only little ones I swear).

The trick is, it a window size and position sequencer, where you can set a different sequence of sizes and positions for every point on the compass (including dead centre) - and repeat or sequential clicks on a little numpad-like floating widget snaps the focussed window through these.

[click Editor entry in taskbar to focus window]
Icon in systray > click once > Numpad pops up nearby (where you have thoughtfully placed it ahead of time, because yr fkn kewl like that) > clicky clicky.

From that point on it should be obvious what it does and how it works. Layout options allow you to go nuts thereafter.

Caveat - testing indicates the size at least must be incremental (in sequence), I haven't tested any sequence longer than four, but so far, an excellent little UI accelerator. That it seems to serve as a workaround for the Editor's b0rked windowing is only a small part of its usefulness IMO.

Check it out, my description doesn't really do it justice.
