a couple of questions - elektron control

by gosh
Hi there, so after playing with a couple of pre-made templates including the excellent Mu4live, I’ve decided to built my own template to control my elektron octatrack and machinedrum.

I have a couple of questions that I’m sure are easily do-able but I’m struggling with. I’d really appreciate any help!

1) On my Octrack I’d like to be able to select set delay times (1,2, 4,8, 16, 32, 64) – ie. Doubling. I’ve worked out that faders etc can have grids which quantise settings but that doesn’t help with this as the divisions are equal, they are doubling. I’m confused what the best way to approach it is. Ideally I’d like to use either the pads or buttons so I can click on the delay times – I would also use this to select different octatrack slice too – to function like cue-points. I set up some buttons (set to pad, but tried with switch too) to try this with the buttons sending the cc with a particular value and this worked occasionally but sometimes it didn’t – very strange. It seemed to only send intermittently. Can you guys recommend the best way to select between different set values (0 to 127) of one defined midi cc?
2) On my machinedrum I love a function called CTRL-ALL which acts as a way of tweaking all tracks at the same time. However, sometimes you want to lock out or not affect certain tracks (eg. To keep the kickdrum the same). I’d like to think of way to have a series of faders with buttons beneath them and the buttons to select whether the fader sends that message. I.e. faders could send anything from one cc to sixteen different ccs (on up to 4 midi channels) based on whether a button (representing a sound on the machinedrum, bd, sd, hh, etc) is selected. Is this possible?!
