Objects affecting other objects

Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question or it's been asked before haha.

So the setup of of it all is pretty easy but the scripting is something I'm trying to get. If you have, say, setup up a 3 switches (to individually turn off kick, snare, and hi hat), how do you get it so that you can create another switch so that it can turn off the kick and the snare switch or say you create another one to turn off the kick snare and hi hat altogether?

this one is also just a bonus question, but how does the breakpoint work exactly? i've read the manual and tried out a couple of things with it but nowhere near as interesting as some of the things i've seen other people do. there's this video on youtube where it looked like someone used it almost as if to self-oscillate because it was rotating by itself.http://liine.net/forum/ucp.php?i=main&mode=drafts
