mostly this has to do with the ports (target). Sometimes people write what ports they are using, sometimes not. Then one has to open the template in the editor and check out what MIDI ports are being used, or if MIDI is used at all. Some use OSC which won't work with a MIDI interface; they need a wireless connection. Then there are templates that have freely assignable ports. I can be difficult to find out how a template is supposed to work, and it's normal some templates won't work with your default setup.

hi Phil999 and thanks alot for the answer
i contacted the Liine support and they told me that for a particular template (
http://liine.net/en/community/user-library/view/70/) i need to install MU
After installing MU nothing works.

I'm afraid, no. I don't have Mu, but I hear that many people have problems with Mu and with Ableton. You may check out the other threads dealing with that matter, maybe you can find a solution there.
