when i got my legacy lemur, i was extremely disappointed to find out how dead the forum was. i exchanged quite a few emails with a rep from JazzMutant, got some great info, but eventually i got that infamous "absence de bureau" response when i had an important question. i want this thread to be a collection of how-to's and advice on the Lemur Legacy hardware. i can host any files if needed, just PM me and i'll give you my email address. any files linked to by other users will be put in this top post. I contacted Stantum, the OEM of the Legacy, about a problem I was having with my ethernet port. There is play in it which causes connection issues unless the cable is strapped to my unit. I was very happy to receive a response from them, giving me the part number of the ethernet port, so I could repair it myself.
He also told me that if needed, I could send the Lemur in for repair to their Florida facility,

I can't thank you enough for this information Imza. Up until now, it seemed as if no company wanted to assume any type of responsibility on the support end of the legacy line of the Lemur.
Once again, I can't thank you enough...especially since I'm starting to experience random screen glitches and malfunctions.

this is a good idea for def! esp peeps like me just joining the crew and only getting their Lemur Legacy 7-8 years late
anyone know of any info on the 'bubbling issue' as my Lemur v1 is starting to do this in bottom corner? I have mailed the Stantum company but after reading this maybe they will/wont suggest something?
cool

That, to me, sounds like the adhesive between a couple of the layers on the screen has come unstuck. I would recommend taking off the aluminum cover and using something flat, straight, and dull, like a CD case, to try and get the bubble out. The case is really easy to get off, just has 6 torx screws (3 on either side, I believe they're t6). The tricky part is getting the buttons back in right when you replace the cover. If they don't fit on right, you may have bent the orange LEDs a little bit. Don't worry, they're pretty strong, just bend them back straight up and try again.
