I think for the step sequencer play head/curser to work you need to highlight the sync button in the output to the relevant midi out in live prefs .
Same applies to L'Pad too
Found that the live trial still works , albeit crippled , but enough to check and rectify any minor issues

Well I'm not sure how i had my midi settings setup, but it was definitely not right... everything is working much better now with just Track and Remote on for the Push input / output. Didn't even need sync. I think I had some of the virtual midi ports doing things that messed stuff up.

I've been playing with The Hatchet by Sonic Faction - it's a synth and comes with a fancy Max sequencer that has built in user mode template for Push (and LaunchPad or APC40).

Strangely, it will not work with Shove if you've used the HandshakeComponent.py patch but works fine with the Cylphx method. Any ideas why this is the case?

Interesting, but the simple answer is I ain't got a clue ,
Does the user mode use another remote script or what?
By the way I sorted the multicolour bi polar pan graph issue ,

It's just a Max MIDI effect, no further scripts have to be loaded. It does some pretty clever stuff with the Push but duplicates a lot of the functions. Don't think I'll use it much if at all - maybe with the Launchpad, just 'playing' with Shove really. The synth it's bundled with is great though.

Incidentally, you get the same behaviour with L'Pad too.

To be honest I'm not sure what ClyphX does to make the Push work!

Re bi-polar colours, is there a new version to download?

One complaint - I've lost a whole weekend playing with Shove! :)

Hello, i really feel lost in all these explications.
What is the easyest way to make Shove works?
i tried to edited the script with textedit but the format always changes to RTFD.
I have readed the tutorial here : http://forum.liine.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3116#p13724 but i saw that we can do with ClyphX using the original Push script.
Please help :D

try textwrangler on mac.when you have this file edited follow the instructions.
the handshake method worked for me since the beginning.
