I already looked into backups, but unfortunately, I don't have any backups from after 3.0.2 came out (I know, it's been a long time!). The update that expanded the file size limit was crucial for me, so I can't go back that far.

I am sure the developers are on the case and will come out with a fix. But for those of you who do still have a copy of version 3.1 in their recycle bin and can't wait but are not sure how to downgrade, the following link shows you how to do just that.
http://www.guidingtech.com/mobiles/down ... s-version/
Personally I would just wait a few more days though, as Liine know this is a major bug and am sure it is top priority at the moment.

My most used app just became unusable with 3.2, but I see I'm not alone. I'm sure Liine has a fix is in the works. I was about to build new templates today, but will wait for the fix because all alignments are off. I'll use V-Control Pro this weekend

I agree, but it seems the problem is in the lemur app on the ipad. Even if Liine provides a fix today, it still has to go through apples approval process before it is available. That may take a while
An official statement would be highly appreciated
For all of you who would like to revert back to version 3.1 on the ipad ...
For Win 7 only: Check if you still have the old version in this directory (that is no sync since the new version was downloaded):
%USERPROFILE%\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\Lemur 3.1.0.ipa
If not then check your recycle bin.
If you've found the "Lemur 3.1.0.ipa" then the above link provides a (kinda tricky way) way to restore it.
Personally I will play around w/ the 3.2 version a little bit more. But the blurry font display is killing my old eyes
B.
Edit: I have reverted my lemur app on the ipad to version 3.1. Here are the steps I had to take in Win7 64Bit:
1) Prerequisite is to find a version 3.1 file (Lemur 3.1.0.ipa) from a previous sync of your ipad w/ your desktop. To locate that file see above.
2) Delete the lemur 3.2 version from your ipad
3) Make sure that the file "Lemur 3.1.0.ipa" exists in directory %USERPROFILE%\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications\
3) Hook up your ipad to your pc via usb. Synchronize.
Et voilá, version 3.1 restored on the ipad.

I have version 3.0 that I could restore with this method, but I think I'll just wait for a fix from Liine. I can still work on my templates with 3.2, test the functionality of scripts, work on the Generic Remote xml's for softsynth interfaces. And when the fix or new version is there, do the design and proper arrangement of the elements.

I'm with phil999 here. If I use my magnifying glass I can get a general idea of the text and I'm just not into reverting but I DO agree liine needs to let us know how and when they're going to address this. It REALLY does need to be fixed for those poor folks among us who just can't spring for a new iPad3, like myself.

LIINE :
Thanks for getting in touch, we value our customer feedback even in these circumstances. It is great to hear when we have excelled but equally as important that we hear when we could have done better.
The 3.2 update is part of an ongoing effort to update and improve the legacy Lemur codebase and also to keep Lemur compatible across the whole iPad range. This sometimes requires unavoidable decisions to be made regarding trade-offs between performance on the different platforms, which this time has not worked out the best. We will certainly be taking all the comments into consideration and are acting to remedy the problem.
All feedback on this issue is being forwarded to the development team for review. I believe they will be meeting early next week to discuss this matter and will be looking to resolve these issues in the next update.
I hope to post an updated response on the Forum after that.
Thank you for sending in your comments,
Regards

Really, I appreciate the response as well but I agree with the skepticism over the "unavoidable decisions" comment. I personally think there are a lot of more important things than making the software work on a platform that I conservatively estimate at maybe 20% of the current Lemur user population. As a former developer I can understand the difficulties involved with the development and QA processes but again IMHO I think it would be much more desirable to bring stability to what's already being used than to add features which I haven't seen a whole lot of user requests for. I'm not going to be leaving the environment because of this, I have FAR too much effort involved and what I've put together has been unbelievably useful and has saved me tons of time but conversely when asked what I am using I give an honest opinion. Yes, you can do amazing things with Lemur BUT there are issues which seem to be unaddressed and now more have been added.
Please understand I realize I am only one user and opinions are like the proverbial universal body part but at this moment I believe Liine made a poor decision in this case.
Again, I appreciate the response and remain available to help where I may.

Hi all,
We brought massive changes to the old font display system in 3.2 to allow for Retina compatibility. In the process we mistakenly introduced fonts that are smaller than in 3.1, which resulted in readability issues, as well as alignment problems in some pre 3.2 templates. We are actively working on the issue, sorry about this.
