Hi Mat,

I fixed the problem we were talking about. If the notelenbth button is pressed a noteoff message is being sent before the note on so the problem is fixed. I have also added a midi learn feature and already saved 31 scales.
What's your emai lso I can post that to you? Or maybe you'd like me to post it here?

Hey, sorry for late reply....

Thanks kraftf for all of your work and engagement! Sure - post it here!! Attach it in the thread - it will be the most direct thing, people who read about the problem will find a solution nearby. Clever idea by the way ...sending a noteoff if pad is hit before triggering note.... Thanks so many times. :D
I will test it asap - but I will get no difference, cause I only got software synths :(

btw: you can find my email here: http://music-interface.com/?page_id=2
or you can use chefkoch -at- tonvibration.de

All the best

Hey kraftf,

great work!!!

I had some tests with your mod of Scalomat and I am really impressed.
It is amazing how many scales you insert (are you into this? ..or was it a long wikipedia session ;) )
...and online renaming of the slots. wow.
Well, I realised that now the slots only save/load the mainscale and semitones. In my version also octaves, midichannel and additional notes were saved. But while thinking about this, I guess your solution is maybe better. If you change the instrument (Midichannel), you normally do not want to change the scale. Also Octave settings are - once done - most likely to fit to all scales.
Miditriggering went fine. As said I can only test with Softwaresynths, but it is nice to have that bug for hardwaresynths fixed :)

That Midilearn is interesting too. How does it work? Do I play a chord on Miditarget0 and template set the Semitones???

One thing I corrected was the layout. In your version knobs and pads of tones were not in line. I am very strict with that ;) but found space for Midilearn on right side while shrinking the keyvelocityfader a bit.
Well, with all that new features the template is a bit bigger. On legacy Lemur that was always a problem (and it still can be on iPad...hopefully Liine fix that / enlarge memory soon).
I would like to integrate your mod into the zip in the user area if that is ok for you (?)

Many thanks.
..and again: great work!

cheers
Mat

Thanks Mat for your kind words.
i am pretty new to Lemur and I am getting my grip on it as time flows.
I also have quite a lot of ideas and in time when I get more competent in coding I will be able to deliver more.

Regarding the mod, yes of course be my guest and integrate it. If it's possible just give some credit maybe via reference to my name or via a voucher for your splendid sequencomat.

About the midilearn:
It works by sending midi notes to 0 midi in. It sets the semitones only serially. So yes as log as the midilearn button is depressed if you send a chord in a strummed way you will set the semitones. It's quite nice to get a custom scale from midi files that play a melody.

As far as the construction of the scales is concerned I used another windows software which is specialized and documents very well the chords and scales. I just made them by reading its manual. And now I am not a musician, I am pretty lame in musical performance and tools like these help me very much construct my ideas.

Cheers
Kyros

Hey guys.
I have upadated a bit more Mat's great template.
I've changed the way midi in is running.
Now only different notes will be assigned to the semitones of the scale and as long as the last semitone is assigned the midi learn button goes off automatically. There is also a color indication throughout the process of the midi assignment. Each semitone that gets assigned changes its color to yellow and when the assigning procces is over they return back to their default colors.

@Mat: I have soldered a bit the whole template to become symmetrical. I hope you like it.
