Great update, many thanks to the Lemur/Liine team.
Just spotted that bug in Lemur Editor 3.0.3 indeed, will be fixed ASAP.
Thank god!it was such a drag to use iTunes.

So the new limit is 'basically 2mb'?
Can you please be specific, so I don't waste even more time?

Also, I strongly suggest you put LARGE disclaimers all over the manual and the software editor saying that files over a certain size don't work get destroyed.
Also, put a warning anytime someone tries to save a file over the limit. The fact that you guys knew about this issue but didn't deign to document it whatsoever is so blatantly stupid that I still have trouble believing that you knew about it in the first place.

Hi
I believe it was mentioned by someone at line to be about 2Mb, not sure where atm . . So possibly 2,048Kb or whatever that is in bytes . . .
I just did up a file at 2.1Mb successfully, but that was 2,100,000 bytes not 2,100 Kb - but at 51% on the dial . . .

Seriously, if you get to the point where the current size limit is an actual issue I will help you optimise it . . .
Can't you just finish what you were working on that got stopped at 512Kb and post that in the library . . .

Also I am not involved with Liine, I don't think that they knew about and ignored the issue in initial release, I believe it was worked out afterwards . . .

Cheers
MM

Great as it is the file size is now 2mb, but it would be nice to have the memory usage dial showing 100% when we use 100% of the memory.

Hi
If you work off 50% as a max figure I think you should be right . . .My 51% test was 2.1Mb and loaded ok . . .

I think we also need to realise essential differences between the hardware -Lemur/iPad . . .
Lemur is a dedicated controller, 4096Kb of object memory, 2904kB of System mem . .
A 96% memory 508Kb .jzml file on my Lemur ends up using 4085Kb of Object mem, system mem = 1347 of 2904Kb

Not sure if a similar separation of Object/System memory is used on the iPad or how the editor calculates memory usage . . .

Cheers

The file size limit is actually a different matter than the memory usage piechart.
What the memory chart shows is the RAM that will be consumed on the device by all existing objects and variables.
The resulting file size is just the number of characters necessary to describe the template in XML format. One project with many large MultiSliders will typically use more RAM, but that will not necessarily translate to a large file size when saved to disk.

What *is* the maximum RAM for this? 2 MB? If so, will this be increased in a future update? It is quite limiting for the editor I have in mind 8-)
