tempo synched physics?

Post by jmaz »

can it be done? like maybe having an lfo control the physics
what would be sick and a new of gesture based stuttering would be to have the physics of a multi-ball for example have it's xy axis controlled by two different square wave lfos which would mean the ball would be jumping around in staccato patterns
artificial audio's obelisk delay plugin sort of doe this
one lfo could quarter note triplets and the other half notes

I believe the Lmodit LFO studio factory template is in fact host-synced. It needs of course midi clock info sent from the host to work but I havent got around to see how it works (yet).

but can it control the movement of other objects in lemur?

As it is no...but you can study how it gets "synced" to host and apply its logic to your own object controlling other objects. ;)

Oh wait - you mean "tempo synced" physics....like the speed of a moving ball for example - hmmmmm....not sure if this can be achieved.

artificial audio's lfo design is one of the most advanced i know of and it works within an xy axis

lemur needs this function
with square waves it would allow for discrete jumps and stair stepping modulation allowing for gesture based stuttering
