ios 6
Re: ios 6
=)
morning=)
so...
I tried again - no connection (ipad3 ios6)
then tried ios 5 phone : success!
after i thought it was warmed up, i disconnected the phone to test the ipad again. : success!
so, one could try to connect first with a ios 5 , then disconnect session and connect with ios 6. (i used the method from my previous post)

Re: ios 6
I also have good connection with an iOS 5-iPad. But with iOS 6 it seems impossible for Lemur. What works is http file transfer with TagDiskHD+ and AVPlayerHD, while FileBrowser doesn't work.

Re: ios 6
Hi everybody,
If you're having unresolved troubled setting the MIDI Targets from the iPad, please drop an email to support (at) liine.net with the following details:
iOS version
Lemur app version
Lemur Daemon version
Operation system (OSX, Windows, which version)
Try killing the Lemur app from multi-tasking on your iPad.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: ios 6
i really need lemur to run in a multitasking environment! especially at live shows I run lemur as controller and e.g. tenori on, curtis, etc. as sound generators. when will you update lemur so that is able to manage multitasking as it did before IOS6?! really urgent for me.
Re: ios 6
I believe it has nothing to do with Lemur. iOS6 has some changes for wifi, and it takes some time to find out how to deal with it, mostly on Windows laptops. Router network works flawlessly at my place, ad-hoc local network only partially. The real important stuff is what doesn't run anymore. Controller apps!

Re: ios 6
Hi All,
The problem is being caused by changes in iOS 6 and a solution is being worked on.
It would help if people included there System specifications when reporting problems,
simply saying it does not connect does not really help us much.
For those on Mac 10.6.8 -
If you usually use a router to connect to the internet, see if you can connect your iPad to that network.
Myself and other people have found that it all works properly.
For an ad hoc connection made via the Create Network command it appears to not connect - no 'connection' icon on iPad but it still works.
Try establishing your MIDI Targets from the Lemur Daemon on the computer. It does not seem to work from the iPad
Also, try creating your network via Internet Sharing on the Sharing preference pane. First de-select Internet Sharing, then set it to share say Ethernet to computers via Airport. Then enable Internet Sharing and a network will be created. After connecting to this network everything appears to work properly.
For 10.7 and 10.8 the first two options should work but the Internet Sharing method did not work the same on 10.8 - I will need to investigate further.
These results are from an iPad 2 and an i7 iMac running 10.6.8. Some testing also done on 10.8.
If others are able to share there success/failure it may help . . . .
