New to scripting : issue with assigning midi in ableton

Hi- I'm new.

I created faders in my template and want them to control the channel faders in ableton. When I use the "midi learn" command and touch the fader on the lemur it registers in ableton as cc1 which is turning the fader on and off. What am I doing wrong?

have a read of Chapter 7 in the Lemur User Guide will get you started.
Don't worry about scripting for the moment - use the mapping panel to start.
Set up your Fader to send the CC you want to use and then midilearn it in Live.
