Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
Hi all,
I'm looking for help about sending the template on the lemur. I'm currently unable to send the template to the lemur even if I specify the good IP by hitting manual.
When I load the M4F into the track, the IP is set to 192.168.26.125 by default, so I try to specify the ipad's IP 192.168.1.104 but the result is the same: still unable to load the template even if I close the Lemur Editor.
Maybe I do it wrong ? Any help is welcome
Thanks a lot !

Hi Gilles,
why don't u transfer with Lemur Editor?
I also had probs with it, redownloaded then installed again and it works. There is a thread in templates. too.

Hi gilles,
You need to close Ableton Live if it fails to load.
- Make sure the Lemur and your computer are on the same network.
- Close the Daemon.
- Close the Editor.
- Launch Ableton Live.
- Drag Ambivalent Beats to the Max MIDI Effects folder in the Ableton Library.
- Launch Lemur.
- Drag Ambivalent Beats from the Max MIDI Effects folder to the master track in Ableton Live.
That should do the Trick.
Cheers,
Marino.

Re: Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
what version of abelton do you need to run Ambivalent Beats , I have abelton lite .
Re: Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
It failed for me as well, I tried following the steps suggested in this thread but nothing helped.
I have a couple questions.
1. When ambivalent Beats max midi effect tells me "Sending Template Failed." it also asks "Is Lemur Editor running?" - my question is: should I have it running or should it be closed?
2. Do I need the Lemur Daemon running for this?
I have my loopMIDI set up with:
loopMIDI PortA
loopMIDI PortB
my lemur app on the ipad has MIDI target 0:
from: loopMIDI PortB
to: loopMIDI PortA
my ableton live 8.2.7 MIDI settings are
input: loopMIDI PortA track=ON; sync=OFF; Remote=ON
output: loopMIDI PortB track=ON; sync=OFF; Remote=ON
With these settings I can send templates over the Lemur editor and receive them on my ipad fine and they open up to the template. I was able to map the iPad - Basic Faders in ableton fine when I followed Liine's tutorial.
any suggestions?

Re: Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
Hi blarue09,
You do not need the editor to be running, please close it. Also make sure you close the Lemur Daemon as you also don't need it. When you get the error you will have to close Ableton Live and re-open it. If you don't do this it will simply not work.
Let me know if it does the trick.
Kind regards,
Marino.

Re: Ambivalent Beats (sending template failed)
I am still having trouble. Using the Lemur Daemon I can get the Ipad basic fader template to midi learn faders in live 8. But ambivalent beats does not work. So far I have only been able to see my Ipad Lemur work with the basic faders. The instructional videos do not help. I have tried ad-hoc connection and that doesnt work well for some reason. This is such a frustrating and disappointing app so far.
As soon as I close the Lemur Daemon, I lose my MIDI Targets in my Lemur app. It appears as though I need the Lemur Daemon open on my PC in order for my ipad midi targets to connect to my PC midi yokes.
My PC is connected to the same wi-fi network as my Ipad.
