Is anyone aware of a MAC program that will take a .mid file and convert it to text. It is truly amazing that after downloading several dozens programs for both Mac and Windows (I run Win7 under Parallels) not ONE of them will give me anything but a binary file which is useless for my needs. I can do it in a very convoluted bogus time consuming process but it would be infinitely easier with a midi to text converter that actually works. What I am looking for is something that has been run by someone and really does this. I have been on several forums and I've gotten quite a few, "Well that program should work" and they don't. Worse case I guess I'll have to write a Lemur utility.
And of course this would all not be necessary if we had a way to save files on the iPad (YES, that is a very obvious HINT,HINT,HINT).
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Way off Lemur topics
Just as a thought. Can't a midi monitor like MIDI OX be used get a text file? I.e. play the midi file and listen to the midi output w/ MIDI OX or a similar program.
