Hi,
I recently discovered Lemur and I'm pretty excited about it's posibilities.
But I have a few question.
I'm using Cubase 6 and I'm doing only Sounddesign. I would like to use the Lemur mainly for automating Plug Ins that I use as inserts. As far as I figured out I can only assign Midi Data to PlugIns that have been already loaded into the Mixer, which means I can only build a Lemur template for a preset project that contains all the Plug Ins I want to use in fixed audio tracks. But that's way to unhandy for me, I can't use any template projects as I never know which PlugIns I will use and with how many tracks I end up beforehand.
Is there a way that Lemur recognizes which PlugIn is selected and shows me the corresponding template for the PlugIn (somehow similar to Automap). Or can I easily load the template of the PlugIn (e.g. create a container that contains the templates of my favorite PlugIns)?
Any help is appreciated as this is really the crucial point - Lemur yes/no - for me.
Thx

Re: few General questions
it's a Cubase 'problem' or a general DAW problem. I think there are 3 approaches to this:
1. you have your plugins that you know well in specific insert slots, and you keep a specific channel order.
2. use the 8 Quick Controls
3. use a Generic Remote Device with one entry for each CC (127), and change MIDI channel and CC number from Lemur.
Each method has advantages and disadvantages. For me it is mostly 1.

Thanks for the fast reply,
but I don't really get what you mean with:
use a Generic Remote Device with one entry for each CC (127), and change MIDI channel and CC number from Lemur.
Would you be so kind to explain this a little more detailed.
Thank you in advance!

Re: few General questions
fair question. Maybe it's best to look at the Kontrolab 2 interface. You can find it in the user library.
This interface or template is completely 'open', meaning you can change the CC number and MIDI channel of the 8 controllers on the fly. So you can address or target any parameter of a plugin independent of its position and slot, after having created a Generic Remote Device with a huge xml.
It's not really easier this way, but more flexible. If flexibility is important.
