Why does it seem so hard to get a question answered?

I don't ask much, but man as a community we are pretty bad about helping each other out...

Hi
It's community driven so your mileage may vary . . .

Quite a lot of question on diverse topics at all sorts of skill levels get asked,
and a few people help out with answers when time permits . . .

I help out when and where I can even though I have not asked too much
I certainly don't know all the answers; often it will require me to work out a possible solution.
Almost always there are several ways of achieving any one thing so which answer do you give?

Re: the original question - It may 'see' hard to get questions answered if you 'expect' too much,
Ask questions, work on your own solutions, post examples/problems, and be thankful when you get help. . .
Anyway about to pop of off and offer some advice on another thread . . .

Cheers
