Optimizing airport and ipad (lemur) connection

hey,
I was wondering about a way to optimize the connection with lemur to minize dropouts and network problems. I actually haven't yet experienced much problems, I just had one dropout once.
I talked with a network engineer once and he told me that you could scan the place where you are using your wifi, find all the frequency bands where you can transmit without much interference and set that frequency as your wifi freq.
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm gonna search around the net a bit see if I find any useful info.
To the liine crew when you work with pro artists such as hawtin, bodzin etc.. how do you take care of the wifi network for the ipads?
