Alphanumeric keyboard template for windows!

I did this, but it doesn't work. I entered the IP of my wifi in the OCS 0 field, is that all one has to do next to the above? Also, what I don't understand: the daemon is for MIDI only. How does the communication between computer and the virtual keyboard work when it sends OSC data? There must be some OSC-daemon that translates the OSC-data into Windows key presses. But I guess I'm not understanding the whole thing.

No its not OSC or midi related.
Go to the Lemur Daemon and click the add button. Select Kbmouseout.Then you will see your ipad. Double click it and select one of the eight ports.
Next go to the template and select the same port number and your are ready.

ah, now I understand. However, I see no available ports under the iPad, just the name without this small triangle to the left. Maybe because this laptop is HDMI-connected to a touch-screen-monitor (I type with the W7 virtual keys), or because there are already two MIDI ports open. With a netbook the ports under the iPad were available, the connection was established. Windows key, typing, etc. still doesn't work for some unknown reason, but I understand now how this key/mouse connection works. That's enough for me today, next time I learn how to create macros.

still scratching my head with this one. Tried it with a 'normal' computer with attached keyboard and mouse. The Lemur daemon shows my iPad, I can select 0-7 key/mouse ports, select the same port in the template, but still not working! Tried it with port 0 on both sides, and with port 1 on both sides. I don't understand, it must work when the daemon shows the working connection.

First of all you should be using a windows computer. Have only tested in XP not vista/7.
Secondly you should select the corect port(hat you have assigned through the daemon client) inside the template.
If you've done all the above I wouldn't know why its not working for you.

ah, this might be the reason. I tried it on Windows 7 computers only.

Just tested it. Works like a charm under Win 7.

Edit: I nearly forgot. In the above template, the global variable keybout needs to be defined in the container Keyboard.

over time I realised that one has to adapt this template to make it work in W7. So, at the container level, you create a script 'keybout', but what do you write in there?

I've never sent keyboard/mouse data from Lemur, and I want to learn how. This is the only template with keyboard/mouse I have found. Can keyboard macros be created? Ctrl d, ctrl shift s, etc.?
