Is it possible to change all objects midi out target at once? I want to set up the same mackie control template (with some changes) to send to different computers via different midi outs. I'm hoping I don't have to change each objects target midi out individually...
Thanks for any advice...
Changing all objects target midi output at once
Re: Changing all objects target midi output at once
Hi
In part this depends on how you have structured your patch . . .
If you have taken a 'procedural' approach and set individual targets for all objects than you may have to edit them all . .
If you have used 'parenting' then you may only need to change the containers target and all children would follow that setting . .
If you have taken on 'object-ive/scripted' approach than you should have a variable you could change some where to alter the output variable . .
So it really depends on how the patch is constructed and whether you want to re-write it in a different paradigm if needed . . .
Cheers

MM:
Thanks for the info. Is there an advantage to using "parenting" (using containers) aside from my need?
