so I made a patch that scans through a sample and loads the values into a 64-point breakpoint.

Thanks that's awesome, I've thinking about trying to display waveforms on the lemur but now the hard work's done for me!
How did you get it to not display the breakpoint's balls? you're not using a signal scope?

And no, signal-scope is a lot more dodgey than this for me. It gets really gappy and hard to read.
The one sad thing here is that you can't make the background transparent; if you turn down the "background" color it goes dark, along with the lines, unfortunately, and it's still opaque, so you can't layer them, which still looks really cool on the signal scope.
