OSC feedback --> Lemur not updated

Post by filmriss »

Update: I don't know what exactly I've changed, but now it seems to work. Until this issue pops up again, please consider it as solved. :D

Hello,
I'm new to Lemur, and can't stop working on my template for Resolume - Thanks Liine for bringing Lemur to the iPad!!
I learnt a lot in the past few day, but now I'm somehow stuck...

It seems that Resolume sends out OSC messages, which are ignored by Lemur. I checked with an OSC monitor, and Resolume sends a lot of different OSC messages as expected (e.g. ['/activeclip/video/rotatex/values', ',f', 0.3]; ['/activeclip/video/rotatey/values', ',f', 0.76]; ['/activeclip/video/width/values', ',f', 0.11];...) whenever I load a new clip to Resolume's preview. But my Lemur sliders are not updated when the preview clip is changed.

However, when I change values in Resolume (for example the width of a clip), Resolume sends a lot OSC messages with the same OSC address (/activeclip/video/width/values) and Lemur updates my slider.

Is there a chance, that Lemure ignores OSC messages, which are sent only once? Or maybe lost packets, compared to my OSC monitor running on localhost? Any other idea?

Hope somebody can help me on this issue.

ciao,
filmriss

Hi

Will you be uploading your finished template to the user library?

That would be great :-)

Excellent! I am having trouble controlling Resolume via the template currently available in the library.

I have followed the instructions for connecting OSC but nothing. TouchOSC works perfectly. Any suggestions anyone????

Thanks

I'm having this issue as well. I have Lemur connecting to Osculator. It's sending OSC messages just fine, but it's not receiving any of the messages Osculator sends back.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same problem getting Lemur to show OSC messages (specifically text messages) sent from Usine on my LT. The monitor in Usine shows the messages going out but nada on the iPad. Any suggestions? Maybe I have the port number wrong in Usine. Where do I see/set the port number that Lemur receives on?

hi
Send to :8000 as the port on the iPad -.
You may need to do arraytostring() in a script to retrieve the text content . .

Thanks for the reply. No love using port 8000 on the iPad however I don't have an arraytostring() expression in place. I'll give it a shot and let you know.
