Amazon Fire not for Lemur

Post by hiornsi »

Well, it used to work over an ad-hoc WIFI network. Following the last automatic update, 5.3.1.0, this function seems to be disabled. There is now no way to connect.
Looks like I might get a Samsung Galaxy Tab A on lollipop. Can't think any reason that wouldn't work.

Have you considered installing Android OS on your tablet?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Yes, I looked into it but decided to save the time and hassle and get a better tablet. The fire I drag around everywhere and it was cheap enough not to get precious about, it has it's place. I got a Galaxy Tab A in the end, the most basic version, with a 10" screen. It stays in the studio, uncluttered with piles of other Apps. Works fine.
