Lemur Daemon losing connection
Lemur Daemon losing connection
I have the latest version of Lemur installed on my Windows 10 64 bit computer and Lemur Daemon keeps losing midi connection. OSC keeps working but I lose midi. Any ideas?

No one else? It's frustrating, I have to restart Lemur 3-4 times a day...
Re: Lemur Daemon losing connection
Hey, do you have a lightning USB cable for your ipod? This is the solution to get around this flakiness with WIFI connection. If you plug in your Ipad to your computer with USB (I think the newer USB cables) lemur daemon will give you an option to conenct over USB instead of WIFI. This connection is much quicker and more reliable
Re: Lemur Daemon losing connection
Really? I don't see that option in Lemur Daemon.
Re: Lemur Daemon losing connection
Is this only available on Mac? I'm on PC...
Re: Lemur Daemon losing connection
Any other ideas, this is driving me crazy. I have to reconnect several times a day.

If you've got the latest Daemon I believe usb connection is also available on PC. Start daemon and connect your iPad via the lightning cable. Then in the settings menu on the iPad choose the daemon port you want. The name or category tells you if it's via wifi or usb. I don't have my iPad with me, so I can't check this right now. You can turn of your iPad wifi and check the possible daemon connections, the ones shown must be USB. Hope this helps.

I have Daemon 5.3.2 and all the comes up on the Ipad for connections is "Network Session 1", nothing in Daemon (with Wifi turned off and Ipad connected to computer via lightning cable and showing up in Windows 10 explorer.MrCorba wrote:If you've got the latest Daemon I believe usb connection is also available on PC. Only thing I can think of is you don't have the latest lemur installed on your iPad. If you have installed it, I don't know what's wrong....

Re: Lemur Daemon losing connection
That's what I have now. hardwired internet to router, computer hard wired to router and Ipad connecting to router via wifi.midikinetics wrote:We just went through this nonsense when we upgraded all our machines to Windows 10 last week.
Went to the store and got a new dual band 802.11ac WiFi router and plugged the computers into the ethernet ports.
The tablets are still connected to the network via WiFi, but the computers themselves go directly to the router.
Problem appears to be resolved...
